Club Fitting Certification
The PCS Int'l Club Fitter Certification Exam is developed for all club fitters to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the area of club fitting. PCS Club Fitting certification is the mark of excellence in the field. This certificate certifies the member is skilled in gathering the data by proper analysis and is able to write a recommendation that best fits the costumer. The practical exam requires the club fitter to analyze and gather all required information to write a complete recommendation during the last day of the course.
Club making Certification
The PCS Int'l Club Making certification is a mark of excellence in the club making industry. This certificate certifies that the club maker has demonstrated his or her knowledge and practical application of club making skills during the training in one of the schools located around the world. The practical exam requires the club maker to assemble golf clubs to our exact specifications during the last day of the course.
Club Repair Certification
The PCS Club Repair Certification is developed to provide an opportunity for club fitters around the world to demonstrate their extensive knowledge and skills in the area of club repair. PCS Int'l "Class A" Club Repair certification is the mark of excellence in this field.
This certification certifies that the member is skilled in all aspects of repairing a golf clubs; including metal, wood, iron and putter head repair and re-shafting and proper replacement of shafts and grips. The objective of the skills exam is to allow the candidate to demonstrate his or her bench skills in repair and re-shafting during the last day of the course.
Level of Certification
A "Class A" Advanced Club Craftsman is one who has achieved all 3 main levels of certification. In addition, after achieving all three levels of certification the "Class A" Advanced Club Craftsmen has the possibility to obtain the title "Class A" Master Club Craftsmen. The applicant "Class A" Master Club Craftsmen has to inform the board by writing about a project he or she wants to specialize in. After the boards approval, the "Class A" Master Club Fitter must defend his project with success.
The Certification fee(s) can be found on the application form for PCS courses. If the applicant fails either part of the exam, a retake is available for an additional fee.
It is the obligation of each attendee to pay particular attention to the time schedule given towards completion of the certification steps with regards to their own education and certification progress.
